Salisbury, Md., April 21, 2015—APPI Energy announced the expansion of its natural gas team with the hiring of Cheryl Ann Tantillo, Natural Gas Operations Manager. In her new role, Ms. Tantillo will add value to the data-driven procurement and consulting services that APPI Energy provides to commercial and industrial clients. “Our firm considered many applicants and performed extensive due diligence to find the best candidate to expand our natural gas management capabilities,” said Michael Payne, JD, LLM, Executive Vice President and Corporate Counsel for APPI Energy. “Ms. Tantillo has already begun using the APPI Energy proprietary platform to reduce natural gas costs for new and existing clients.”

As Natural Gas Operations Manager for APPI Energy, Ms. Tantillo will structure requests for proposals, based on unique customer requirements, including terms and monthly volumes, to negotiate with vetted suppliers. She will compare supplier offers for pipeline transportation and wholesale gas market prices, negotiate prices down when applicable, and notify customers of opportunities to take advantage of NYMEX pricing.

She served as Energy Conservation Programs Specialist in the Office of Energy Efficiency for Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of AGL Resources, where she established and maintained key relationships with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. Ms. Tantillo enhanced her expertise in contract negotiation, and in working with consultants to ensure customers reduce usage and costs.

Ms. Tantillo’s first day of employment with APPI Energy was April 6, 2015. She operates the firm’s remote office in Howell, New Jersey.
